Just a quick note which your mother had good intentions of sending before she got side tracked once again. Have attached a couple of photos of the vehicle we bought - a ford explorer 1998 model but in really good order and set up well for towing heavier loads. We had 49mm of rain on Monday night which was very welcome as they have promised us rain many times lately without any result.
We had Craig and Jo-anne Cavanagh and their two children - Chloe and Cory here overnight Monday and most of Tuesday - they are setting off on another around Australia tour - towing a fairly large Caravan - they are heading for Melbourne first and then up to Suplejack for Cameron and Leisa's wedding before heading on to WA.
Hope you are all well - Mum was speaking to Annette (Debs Mum) this morning - I think she is staying put at the moment - too wet to go out - it sure got a bit wet around Brissy yesterday - did you get to go to work today Pete - did you hear that part of Petes work place flooded yesterday so they got sent home. Pete and Alli have fared Ok with the rain - we understand that so far there has been no seepage into their new downstairs bedroom area.
Had some nice photos of Jim and Mel's kids heading off to schoolin NZ - will send them on some time.
Edwina has School camp the week before the family reunion so we are heading up there to help babysit while she is away so will probably go on from there to Mackay.
We went over to Kingaroy after the Bell show ball last Friday night. Mary drove us to Brissy on Saturday so that we could buy the car. She visited her old mate Les and we went on to visit Pete and Alli before we came back to her place Saturday night - haven't heard how her date with Russel went on Sunday night.
Les and Deb were with Jo and Pete when mum spoke with them - they will be heading home to Brissy shortly I think as Annette has Doctors appointments next week so keep her in your prayers.
Tash rang to say that the sale of their Mackay home is on track - settlement is on the 2nd or 3rd March I think. Oh by the way did you know that she is now officially engaged - she has a ring on her finger.
Haven't heard much from Bugs and Sheree except that they were busy renovating on Saturday - was the air blue when the cornice wouln't stick Sheree?
Uncle George called over yesterday on his way to Chinchilla where Bernadette is overdue to have a baby - Aunty Col is already out there and was sure that it would arrive last night - but no news at this stage.
Uncle Steve Cook still laid up with a crook back which went on him when he was out here fencing for David Johns about 10 days ago.
Haven't heard from Jo and Pete as to whether their Indian Buyer showed up yesterday - the window had been fixed so hope everything went OK.
Not much other news except that Mother is suffering from the flu - she has even taken "DRUGS" today.
Must away
Love to all Dad.
